Braids typically last about 4-8 weeks depending of several factors including braid style, size, new growth, product build up, daily wear and tear, and exposure. ​

For regular braid maintenance, use lightweight moisturizers and oils on scalp to avoid product buildup. Wear a scarf coupled with a bonnet at night to minimize frizz, avoid emersing braids in water as much as possible, if so thoroughly dry hair and tie with a silk scarf to reduce frizz at scalp. 

Bohemian braids | Bora Braids are high maintenance due to the incorporation of loose curly, or wavy strands that require frequent detangling, regular product use, and meticulous care to maintain their appearance. While all loose hair are prone to tangling human hair is much easier to de-tangle once tangled. For this reason we highly recommend opting for human hair.

Note: Synthetic curls are also a cost effective option for those seeking to wear their protective style for 4 weeks or less. 

While all three styles incorporate the use of human hair in the braids they differ in two major ways:

•  Amount of Braiding Hair used​

Boho Braids are a both knotless braids and curls. In this style your braids are very visible along with full curls present on the braid and on the ends of the braid

Bora Braid use only human hair (we use very little braiding hair for those with low density hair) and the curls are what's mostly visible in this style

Zk Braids  starts with braiding hair for the length of your natural hair and only human hair on the ends
